Day 12

We left Monticello Arkansas today and drove southwest to Shreveport Louisiana. As usual we hit rain and humidly. After arriving and checking into a hotel we went to Roy’s sister’s home had dinner and I met her son, daughter, son–in-law, granddaughter and grandson. We will be spending Thursday and Friday night here in Shreveport.

I was so excited, late last night I got a message from another Vchulek family member I have not been in contact with. He has information I do not have yet and he is willing to share it with me. His branch is the same as mine so it gets me a little closer to my direct line. His father William Vchulek and my great grandfather Rudolph Vchulek are brothers. The good part is now having another person willing to share what they know. The bad is I wish I would have had contact with him earlier as we will be just 130 miles from his home in the next few day and we do not have the time to go that extra 100+ miles. I do need to get home at some time in October or my husband may think he does not have a wife any longer. I do not want that to happen. I will give him a call when I get home and see what we can put together.
