Day 9

First I want to wish my husband Tim a Happy 24th anniversary. I love and miss him a lot and am very glad he is my husband.

Today we left Oklahoma and headed to Texas. We stopped and had lunch to meet with a cousin of Roy’s but were unable to connect with her. We then headed to Duncanville Texas to meet with a friend of mom’s . She and Dorothy have known each other since they were young children. Dorothy’s father worked with my grandfather. In all these years this is the first time I have met her, her husband Fred and their dog Rowdy. I really miss my dogs and enjoyed playing with Rowdy. They served us a wonderful dinner. What a great change from restaurant food. Thank you Dorothy and Fred.

I have heard that at home the weather has been wonderful and warm. I hope everyone really appreciates us as we took the rain with us on this trip. It has been foggy and rainy off and on the last few days. When we went to the cemetery on Sunday it absolutely poured on me while I was taking picture. (I wonder if someone was telling me something.) Then today it poured again while we were driving to Texas. Along with all the rain comes the humidly. I sure am glad we not have that at home. We will be off to Arkansas tomorrow and see where Roy was raised in the orphanage. I hope the rain stays in Texas and it warms up. I also hope I do not regret wishing that. It can really get warm in Louisiana and Mississippi and that is where we will be heading after Arkansas.

For you that have been watching this blog as we have traveled, I am sorry I did not keep up. I will try to do better the rest of the trip. We all are so tired after our days sometimes I just go to bed and do not do anything.
